Hardened steel, class 10.9 (tensile strength 1000 N/mm²).

Standard executions

  • GN 709.7-B: hardened steel flat-faced ball (54+2 HRC).
  • GN 709.7-K: acetal resin based (POM) technopolymer flat-faced ball, natural colour.
  • GN 709.7-R: hardened steel knurled flat-faced ball (54+2 HRC).

Retaining ring

NBR synthetic rubber O-Ring.

Features and applications

GN 709.7 grub screws are suitable for clamping of parts to be machined. The flat-faced (non-reversible) ball allows to compensate for any misalignment of the contact surfaces up to 10°.

The O-ring keeps the ball in position and prevents the penetration of dirt.
